April 2007
April 16th- Meeting at 6:30, at Jamie's. More on survival fire building, get menu's set for April campout.
April 23rd- Meeting at Jamie's at 6:30. Getting the Troop's gear ready for campout. Will be gathering all the necessary
gear for the Troop campout.
April 27,28,29- Camping at Camp Vigor. (old Boy Scout camp) Arrival is around 6:30 pm.
Set up and prepare your site.Drive up camping with Small hikes for some geo caching and fishing.Also will be finishing
Wilderness Survival merit badge, so be prepared for your shelter building.
April 30th- Meeting at Jamie's at 6:30. Clean up gear and put away. Also will be getting all the rest of Wilderness
Survival merit badge done.
May
May 7th- Meeting at 6:30 at Jamie's house. Will be working on advancement and setting next outing plans.Menu's
and Troop needs.
May 14th- Meeting at 6:30 at Jamie's.Gear preparations for outing.Also will need to be getting personal gear together.
May 18,19,20- Outing planned at Wispering pines. Canoe training and swim test (weather permiting).
Need to pass the swim test to be able to canoe. Test is to swim 75 yards on front then turn over and swim remaining 25 yards
on back. Then must do survival float for one minute.
May 21st- Meeting at 6:30 at Jamie's house to clean up from last trip. Gear checked and stored away. Also will
be starting on our letters for help with Colton Day's.
May 28th***- NO MEETING THIS WEEK. NEXT MEETING IS JUNE 4TH!!
June
June 4th- Meeting at the Town Hall in Parishville at 6:30 to finish letters and finalize Colton
Days plans.
June 11th- Preparing for camping with the CUBS. Meet at 6:30 at Jamie's house. This month's camping will be with the Cub
Scout's. We will design a few games and activities for the younger scouts to participate in on the campout. We will be cooking
the entire meals for them.
June 18th- Gear checks and set up for this month's outing. At Jamie's at 6:30.
June 22,23,24- Camping with the CUBS. Meet at campsite and set up Friday night around 6:30pm. Cubs
arraive Saturday morning. More details to be posted soon!!
July
July meeting dates are: 2nd,9th,16th -We will be preparing for Colton days events and also for our week long outing this
month.
July 21- COLTON DAYS. BE SURE TO BE THERE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED TIME TO WORK.
Summer outing dates are July 22nd thru July 28th. Will be camping and Canoeing around the Carry
Falls Reservoir. Making a few day trips out for canoeing and exploring. An itinerary will be posted in the next month to what
we will be doing exactly and where we will be,when.
